The Varsity Boys captured the title with 118.33 points - easily out-scoring 2nd place Joliet West's 67.33 points.
Point scorers included Dan Trentecoste (6.73) with a 2nd place finish & LaVelle Johnson (6.76) for 4th in the 55. Tamonte Brown (25.22) grabbed 5th place in the 200. In the 400, Colin Slattery (55:32) took the win & Ryan Parthemore (56.48) placed 3rd. Tom Brennan (2:05.29) was 2nd and Matt Hetzler (2:08.08) followed in 3rd in the 800 meter race. In the 1600, Denis O'Callaghan (4:39.09) took 4th and Chris Torpy (4:41.93) was 6th. Sean Torpy (10:03.79) ran to 3rd in the 3200, with Justin Adams (10:20.26) in 5th. Eric Cocanig (9:32) & Ja'Khari Person (9:49) took 5th & 6th in the 55 meter hurdles.
In the relays, all 3 teams placed 2nd, with the 4x200 team running 1:40.28, the 4x400 team in 3:47.90 and the 4x 800 team timed at 8:37.24.
Field event scorers included Nick DePesa high jumping 6' 0" for 2nd and Wasim Mohammad (5' 2") tying for 4th. LaVelle Johnson long jumped 20' 4" for 3rd. In the triple jump, Adam Nash (41' 6") captured first and Zach Fijolek (38' 9") placed 5th. Peter Rodriguez took 3rd with a shot put of 45' 9".
The Sophomore team was also triumphant with 111.75 point, ahead of Joliet Central with 89.75.
Sophomore champions included Brandon Lukas (2:12.19) in the 800 meter run, David Gleisner (4:46.55) in the 1600 & Jordon Woods (38' 1") in the triple jump.
