Alum Jeff Parker’s Family Tears up Track Scene!!
and track. He is currently listed in the top 25 all time runners for the Eagles clocking a time of 15:16 at the 1980 Illinois State Meet. He was also a fine 2-miler and miler in track and field as well with times posted below 4:20 in the mile and under 9:30 in the two mile while at Sandburg. He went on to have a great running career at Lafayette College (Penn.) on the east coast as well, posting the schools all time fastest time in cross country at 24:58 for 8k.
The Parker Girls Rock the Wisconsin Track Honor Roll
Senior Alison along with Junior twins Jennifer and Jessica have been tearing up the Wisconsin High
School girls track scene for a few years now. Running for Neenah High School north of Oshkosh, Jeff’s daughters have had some impressive performances in the past and are poised to make a huge impact on the Wisconsin running scene in the next few years.
Last year they crashed onto the scene by setting the Wisconsin State Record in the 4x800 relay with Alison just a Junior and the twins as sophomores. Joined by teammate Claire Knaus, the Parker girls broke the 1994 state record of 9:03.38 by nearly 3 seconds with a time of 9:00.42. With that momemtum, they have positioned themselves for some potential middle distance domimation at this year’s state meet coming at the end of May in LaCrosse.
Currently, Senior Alison has posted Wisconsin’s fastest DI 1600m time of 5:03.29 with sister Jessica close behind with a 5:04.81. With 4 others below 5:10, it should be a great race at this years State meet. But that is not all. Sister Jennifer has posted the fastest time in the State in the 800m at 2:17.56. Alison has also posted the State's 6th best time in the 3200m at 11:13.35 and the 8th best time in the 800m at 2:21.24. Wow!! Couple that with the chance to break their own state record in the 4x800 relay and it is shaping up to be quite a day for the Parkers on May 31st and June 1st.
Neenah currently has posted the best time this year in the 4x800 when they were invited
to the prestigious Penn Relays to face the nation's top teams. They posted a 9:19.87 which gives them the fastest time in Wisconsin this year by nearly 30 seconds!

Jeff's son Chris is running extremely well this season at Lafayette College, following in Jeff and Sharon's footsteps as top athletes at the Easton, Pennsylvania school. With a personal best time in the 800m of 1:52.46, Chris became the Patriot League Athlete of the Week last year as a Junior.
He was also named Lafayette Track Athlete of the Meet by virtue of his triple winning performance in a meet vs. Lehigh in January where he posted wins in the 800m, 1600m as well as anchoring the 4 x 800m which decided the meet by a mere 1 second. Chris’ 800m time ranks him second on Lafayettes All Time list.
